Interested in editing?

Well, now is the time to start learning how! As a promotional strategy, HitFilm is offering the express version of their editing software (normally priced at $149) as a free download until Feb. 4! (And, bonus, it works with both Mac and Windows.)

I haven't checked out the software yet, but it is currently downloading to my laptop as I type. From reviews that I've read, it sounds like a pretty decent software. Here's a cool review that talks about its special effects capability, something that the software I currently use doesn't do at all. So, I'm super stoked about this!

'The Fault in Our Stars' Trailer!

At last! The day has come!

I read The Fault in our Stars just when they announced they were going to make a movie of it. I must confess that although I loved the book, I never actually cried during it (even though literally every other person who read the book did). But I almost cried during the trailer. That one line, about love being a shout into the void, and that other line, you know, the okay one……it gets to me, man.

I am really looking forwards to bawling my eyes out watching TFIOS on the big screen on June 6!

Why, hello there!

I have decided to journey into the dark and treacherous side of the Internet….the blogosphere.

Now, I've been here before. But this is a very different kind of "here". There have been many blogs to my name (and don't get me started on my numerous tumblrs…I may or may not own a noodle fan blog, but I will neither confirm nor deny that rumor), but today, I come before you to offer a new blog. It's a kind of blog that it is really special and fun and exciting for me. It's a…wait for it….A STORY BLOG!

Those of you that know me personally (and if you're reading this, there is a 99.7% chance that you know me personally), you know that I'm a total nerd/geek/fangirl/whatever kids are calling each other these days. I'm a huge movie buff, I watch way too much Netflix, and I love discovering & promoting new web series. Also, my 2014 New Year's resolution was to read 30 books this year. So basically, I'm a huge nerd about stories, in any shape, size, or form. I'm a sucker for a good action/adventure movie, quirky web series, hilarious TV show, and occasionally, the sappy romance novel. Stories bring excitement, encouragement, imagination, and inspiration to the world, and I hope to introduce you to some of my favorites (and not-so-favorites) here, and maybe entice you to watch or read a new story or two. :)

I love writing too, and I've been trying to think of a way to flex my writing muscles. This blog was my solution to exercising said muscles. I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I'm probably going to enjoy writing it!
